To set up MetaMask for the Avalanche Fuji testnet, you will need to follow these steps:
First, if you don’t have MetaMask you will need to install the MetaMask browser extension. You can find the extension for Chrome, Firefox, and other popular browsers at https://metamask.io/. Skip this step if you already have MetaMask.
Next open it and click the “Create a Wallet” button. Follow the prompts to create a new MetaMask account and password.
After creating your account, you will be prompted to select a network. Click on the “Custom RPC” option and enter the following information:
- Network Name: Avalanche Fuji Testnet
- New RPC URL: https://api.avax-test.network/ext/bc/C/rpc
- ChainID: 43113
- Symbol: AVAX
- Block Explorer URL: https://testnet.snowtrace.io/
- Click the “Save” button to add the Avalanche Fuji testnet to your MetaMask.
To switch to the Avalanche Fuji testnet, click the network dropdown at the top of the MetaMask window and select “Avalanche Fuji Testnet.”
To get test AVAX tokens, you will need to request them from a faucet. You can find a list of faucets for the Avalanche Fuji testnet at faucet.avax.network. Simply follow the instructions on the faucet page to request test tokens.
Once you have received your test AVAX tokens, you can use them on the Avalanche Fuji testnet just like you would use real AVAX tokens on the main network.
